The United Soccer League (USL) is the largest professional soccer organization in North America, possessing nearly a decade of experience in bringing the world’s game to communities across the United States and Canada. The organization is built on a proven and recognized model in international football and counts more than 150 clubs in its membership.

The USL W League is a pre-professional women’s soccer league set to kick off play in May 2022. It will serve as the nation’s premier pre-professional league developing the next generation of women’s soccer talent both on and off the field. The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is a professional women's soccer league at the top of the United States league system. 

The USL Super League is a new second-division professional women's soccer league expected to begin play in 2023. Furthering the USL’s commitment to advancing the women’s game, unifying communities, and fueling the growth of the sport, the USL Super League aims to double the number of professional women’s soccer teams in the United States by its inaugural season.

Major League Soccer (MLS) is the top division of soccer in the U.S and Canada.

The USL Championship is one of the most prominent lower division soccer leagues in the world, with more than 35 markets across the United States and Canada.

The League's foundation and long-term stability are rooted in its strong local ownership which features owners of NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and European soccer team owners. 

USL League One is the third division. Some MLS teams have reserve squads that play in USL League One, but the majority of USL teams are individual franchises.

USL League Two is a pre-professional soccer league. It has proven to be an important stepping-stone for top professionals now playing throughout the world, with more than 70 percent of all selections in the MLS SuperDraft since 2010 having PDL experience, including 66 selections in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.

USL W League and USL League Two are a pre-professional leagues open to elite youth and collegiate players who are aspiring professionals.

The USL League Two and USL W League regular season takes place during the summer from early May to mid-July. Each team plays a 14-match schedule against their respective divisional opponents, seven at home and seven away. 

The playoffs occur in late July, with each conference champion advancing to the national semifinals and the winners of those matches advancing to the League Two Championship in early August.
